Ian is a photographer from Southend on Sea, Essex, who is legally blind, with 5% eyesight. Ian was born profoundly deaf and later in his teenage years started to lose his eyesight. He has a condition called RP Type 2, commonly known as tunnel vision, and has been an ambassador for Sense Deaf Blind UK in London for five years, working to raise awareness on the white cane and blindness. Ian has appeared on TV and radio to speak about the isolation and loneliness of blindness, and worked on The Jo Cox Campaign with Sense Deaf/Blind UK in 2017/18.
Ian has been a photographer for 11 years, and exhibits locally and in London. He plays guitar in a band in his spare time.
