Colm works as a senior economist in the Microeconomics team at the Centre for Economic and Business Research (Cebr). Colm advises clients across a wide range of sectors with a particular focus on technology, energy and planning & development. Recent projects include estimating the potential future economic contribution of a tidal lagoon power industry to the UK, assessing the impact of demographic and economic trends on the cost of public services for CBI and quantifying the benefit to UK employers of the connectivity deficit in Britain’s biggest businesses and public sector organisations for O2.
Previous to Cebr, Colm worked as a consultant at Volterra Partners, an economic consultancy where he produced forecasts and analysis for the residential & commercial property market, developed evidence for developments involved in planning inquiries and delivered research to support planning applications for numerous high profile residential developments across the UK.
Colm is currently advising such high-profile clients as Royal Mail, Homeserve, Britvic, UK Broadband, General Motors, Post Office, Renewables UK, O2, CBI, National Housing Federation, to name a few.
