Cara Bamford

Cara has worked in the architecture industry for more than 25 years, contributing to prestigious designs across the UK, Europe and Asia, including the award-winning Beijing International Airport Terminal 3. She has significant experience working abroad, including two years in China, and was an associate partner at Foster + Partners before joining Make in 2005. She has also worked for retail specialist Haskoll and Co, where she spent two years designing retail units and shopping centres in the UK and Europe.

Cara has led projects across a range of sectors, from high-end residential developments to transformative regeneration schemes, including those with significant retail components.

Cara has been a guest critic at University of Nottingham and University College London, and sits on the review panel for Design South East. She was a degree unit master at University of East London from 1991–94 and a diploma unit master at Kingston University from 1993–94.
