Australian leg of our student competition is back
Students from across Australia are invited to take part in our international student competition series.
The Foundation’s 2021 virtual competition is a two-week design challenge that includes a one-day design charrette hosted via video conference from 10am to 4pm, followed by independent design work, and virtual presentations to a panel of renowned industry professionals.
How do we redesign city streets to become vital, vibrant spaces for citizens of the future when we reduce space for motorised transport?
The competition is open to architecture students from across all year groups. Groups of four or five students can apply as a team or individuals can apply and be placed into teams from the same universities.
The entries will be judged by NSW Government Architect Abbie Galvin, AECOM Buildings and Places Lead James Rosenwax, Ashleigh Ryan of URBIS and Make Architects’ Sydney Director Simon Lincoln.
Up for grabs is $2,000 and publication in an official Foundation compendium.

The next round of the competition will take place later in 2021.
