Student design competition launches in Sydney

The Future Spaces Foundation has launched its student design competition in Sydney and is calling on master’s and final-year bachelor’s degree students to enter.

The Foundation’s 2020 competition is a two-week design challenge that includes a day-long charrette followed by independent design work and presentations to a panel of renowned industry professionals.

The competition seeks to find out how placemakers of the future can create diverse and vital spaces that encourage face-to-face social interaction.

The competition is open to students who can travel to Make’s Sydney studio for the charrette on the 21st February and again to present their work on the 5th March. To take part in the competition, teams of four or five members can enter and the winning team will walk away with $2,000 prize and publication in an official Foundation compendium.
